Your Teaching Experience

You’ve got 12 weeks to make a difference in your students’ lives while teaching English in Cambodia, and we want to help you live life to the fullest for EVERY one of them.

Based in poppin’ Phnom Penh, your TEFL in Cambodia experience begins with a 2-week orientation. Lucky for you, this preparation is unmatched—you’ll walk away feeling confident as a traveler, community participant, and educator.

You’re now ready to start teaching English 25+ hours weekly to students ranging from teens to adults, beginners to intermediate levels.

Expect to follow a provided syllabus with wiggle-room for additional opportunities to teach English in Cambodia specifically for hospitality, healthcare, business, and public speaking.

When not daydreaming your students’ next “A-HA!” moments, you’ll have ample time to go deeper into your Cambodian experience and it’s intriguing history, language, and culture.

Cultural Excursions

Wondering what you’re going to do with your precious free time? We’re glad you asked! We know your adventure bucket list is long, but make sure you tack these recommendations from past TEFL interns in Cambodia towards the top!

City

Chill out in gorgeous, peaceful Kampot, where you can climb Bokor Mountain on motorbike to find Popokvil Waterfall before taking a sunset river cruise to see the fireflies.

Food

Bugs were the main source of protein during the Pol Pot regime, and you’d be surprised how well a can of spiced snails pairs with Angkor beers and conversation.

Festivals

You + sunrise + a 12th century Hindu (now Buddhist) temple = a daybreak to remember. Buy your tickets & book your 5am tuk tuk in advance to avoid the queues.
