Internships

Paid TEFL Argentina Nationwide Internship

Argentina is to teaching English abroad what Messi is to soccer: simply one of the best.

Between the sublime mountain ranges to the north and west, majestic Iguazu Falls to the east, and the end of the world on its southern tip, you could set off in any direction and be on your way to something wonderful.

Deliver powerful English lessons and complete meaningful work with your estudiantes. Tango your way up the Andes (then ski back down them, of course!).

What are you waiting for? TEFL internships in Argentina will be stuffed with more delight than even that empanada you’re eying.

Your Teaching Experience

Fast-forward through your first week in Argentina, and you’ll already feel like you’ve lived a whole life. Tons of cultural activities, tasty food, helpful practice sessions, and time laughing with amigos has gone by in a flash.

You’re officially ready—not only for your internship placement, but also to embrace your homestay madre for the first time. ¡Vamos!

Public school teachers will enjoy working in classrooms with 30+ students of all ages, using a fixed syllabus to help their students master their conversational English.

Teachers at private schools or English language institutes can expect smaller class sizes.

All placements can expect to teach 20-30 hours weekly, leaving plenty of time to mastermind your next lesson, pitch in at English immersion camps, and teach your homestay family.

Teaching days and the level of participation expected will vary across placement types.

Cultural Excursions

Wondering what you’re going to do with your precious free time? We’re glad you asked! We know your adventure bucket list is long, but make sure you tack these recommendations from past TEFL interns in Argentina towards the top!

Mendoza

Whisk away for a weekend to the mountains, where you can meet good friends for wine, asado, and stargazing. Mendoza might make you rethink your return flight!

Food

If you don't eat steak while teaching in Argentina, you're doing it wrong. The best cut is the bife de chorizo, the sirloin. Big, juicy, & dripping with flavor.

Activity

Recharge and freshen up with friends under the misty spray at Iguazú Falls after a week of high energy teaching. Last one to spot a rainbow is a rotten huevo!

Allowance

Allowance

Your monthly stipend of 2,000 Argentine Pesos (ARS) will cover some basic living expenses.

The cost of living outside of the metropolitan areas of Argentina is reasonable, especially in comparison to big European cities. For socializing, excursions and any other living costs extra spending money of $300 – $500 USD will make your stay very comfortable.

The Argentina internship offers some places in smaller cities and towns, rather than the more well-known cities – the perfect chance to leave the beaten tourist trail and get under the skin of this amazing country.

With free homestay room and board (plus three meals a day), applicants are free to enjoy fantastic adventures traveling around the region.

ARS$2,000 (US$115/£90/€100) Per Month

Getting there

All qualified applicants will fly into Buenos Aires International Airport (Ezeiza International Airport). Airport pickup is available for US$85.
