About your online course

The 30 hour teaching IELTS course has been created to provide you with real, comprehensive knowledge of everything you need to become a confident, influential TEFL teacher. The 7 modules introduce you to the key elements of IELTS teaching, from understanding how to teach low-level IELTS students to familiarizing yourself with the differences between the IELTS Academic Reading test and the IELTS General Training Reading Test. The modules have been specifically coordinated to be engaging, accessible and intuitive, with real-life classroom examples, quizzes and videos to review your learning.

When does my study time begin?

You’ll get instant access from the moment you enroll.

From the date you book your course, you’ll have 3 months’ study time. Since you’ve access 24/7 on any device, you can study any time that suits your lifestyle.

Do I need to be a native English speaker?

No! But you will need to be a fluent English speaker with a great command of English.

Can I take the course and work full-time?

Absolutely! And most people do exactly that.

Your TEFL training is self-paced, meaning you can study as much or as little as you want, depending on your commitments.

How long to complete the course?

Most people complete the 30 hour IELTS course within 2 weeks. Each student is different and it’ll depend on how much time you dedicate to your course.

ProTip: Try to work in two hour blocks so you make real progress each time you log in.

What score do I need to pass my course?

Your course is marked through continuous assessment with end of module knowledge tests. You’ll need to score 80% to pass, and unlock the next module.

If you don’t pass first time, you’ll be able to re-sit at no extra cost, so don’t worry.

What if I’m not good at grammar?

Don’t panic! In many cases your focus as an English teacher will be conversational.

Most native English speakers aren’t aware of grammar terms; but you’ll cover everything you need to know during your course.
