How we create, check, and update our content. Salaries, visas, and hiring rules shape big life decisions, so we hold every guide to standards we are happy to be held to.
Eight commitments we publish and keep
Every guide on premiertefl.com exists to answer one question honestly: what is it actually like to get TEFL certified and teach abroad or online? These are the rules we write by.
Named accountability
Articles carry a real byline, and that byline means the named person wrote or substantially shaped the piece. Guest pieces from graduates and working teachers are clearly labeled as first hand accounts.
Primary sources first
Writers work from government immigration portals, embassies, national education ministries, awarding bodies such as Ofqual and Highfield Qualifications, and named employer requirements before anything else.
Salary honesty
Salary figures are cross checked against at least two independent sources. We publish ranges rather than single figures, state the currency and the year, and never guarantee earnings or employment.
Visa caution
Visa and immigration content is general guidance only. Rules change quickly and vary by nationality, so we tell you to confirm with the embassy or official immigration authority before you act, every time.
Real reviews only
We quote student reviews verbatim from independent platforms such as Trustpilot. Never edited into something rosier, never invented, and individual stories are presented as individual results.
AI with human accountability
We use AI tools to support research, drafting, and editing. Every article is reviewed by a named member of our team before publication, and accountability for what we publish always sits with people, not tools.
Commercial transparency
Premier TEFL sells TEFL courses and internship placements. That is no secret, and it does not bend our conclusions. Partnerships, affiliate arrangements, and sponsorships are identified where they appear.
Corrections in the open
When we get something wrong we fix it, update the article's last updated date, and log the fix in the corrections ledger on this page. We never bump dates without a real content change.

Every article, five gates
No guide skips a step, whether it covers one visa form or a whole country.
Brief
Each article starts with a defined reader question and a check against our library, so we update rather than duplicate.
Research
Primary sources first. Salary figures are cross checked against at least two independent sources.
Draft
Data tables state the year the figures were gathered, and sources are linked in the sentence where the claim is made.
Expert review
A relevant reviewer checks anything that could affect a reader's legal or financial position against official specifications.
Re-review
High change topics such as visas, salaries, and hiring windows are scheduled for re-review, and real changes update the dated stamp.
Corrections, on the record
Every confirmed factual correction to a published guide gets a dated entry here. An empty ledger is the goal, an honest one is the promise.
