Your Trip Itinerary

Day 1

Getting there

Travel to Kraków International Airport (KRK) or Warsaw Airports (WAW) or (WMI) depending on your program location where you will be picked up by our arrival team.

Day 2-14

Orientation & Training

Full week-long orientation including fun group excursions and welcome meal is the perfect way to kickstart your time in Poland.

In week two specialized teacher training sessions will prepare you to be confident in the classroom. At the end of the orientation and training fortnight you’ll travel by bus or train to your placement location.

Day 15-304

Your teaching experience

It’s time to get into the classroom! You’ll be confident after already completing 120 hours of certified teacher training plus the in-class workshops during orientation.

You will either work in a language school or preschool, depending on your suitability. Language school teachers work in the afternoon and evenings Monday to Friday, with the occasional morning or Saturday. Preschools offer lessons during standard school hours on weekdays. Pre-schoolers are aged two to six and language school students are aged seven to adult, with mixed English ability, giving you an incredible first-time teaching experience.

You can expect around 25 hours of hands-on teaching per week, plus some time to plan lessons following the in-house curriculum. Your goal will be focused on conversational English practice, helping your eager students to feel confident as they develop their skills.

You’ll be able to ask advice from local teaching colleagues but don’t forget to bring your own creativity and ideas into the classroom, this is your chance to shine!

On weekends off and your salary to enjoy, you will have a long list of sightseeing and travel plans. Relax and enjoy a city tour, find the best local restaurants to try out, and make it to a night of Polish traditional singing and dancing. Prepare to check off a few amazing bucket list items!

Day 305

After your internship

Congratulations, you did it! Make sure to celebrate this achievement. It’s time to decide if you’d like to see more of Poland, traveling or teaching (or both).

You might decide to extend your stay in Central Europe and teach for longer by renewing your contract. The possibilities are endless for you now as a confident and experienced TEFL teacher.
