How should a TEFL resumé / CV look?

Your resumé/CV is the standout document which every employer receives.

It is your gateway to a new life of travel and work abroad, so make sure to avoid these very common mistakes:

  • Typos: need we say more?
  • Gaps in time: explain why in 2018 you were professionally ´absent´ for six months. If you did any volunteering or traveling put it down!
  • Jobsjobsjobs: it is impressive that your five year-long professional career has had 16 jobs, but this doesn’t scream ‘committed and dependable’. Only refer to relevant experience.
  • Mess: Be consistent with font style, color and dates throughout your resumé. Your name in the colors of the rainbow might look pretty to you, but will seem juvenile to the employer.
