A team behind every step
I chose Premier TEFL because I liked that I was able to get a TEFL certificate, get real resume-building teaching experience, get paid, and have the help of an agency the entire time. The fact that I had a team to help take care of my work permit and visa really helped.
Weekends in the mountains and temples
I loved just being a part of Thai Culture. My friends and I would spend weekends riding a motorbike up into the mountains and just enjoying the luscious green views. I also loved walking around the city visiting the different temples, trying out as much local Thai food as I could.
Waterfalls, hikes and wild elephants
Thailand is probably the most beautiful place I've been to in the world. When I'm not in the classroom I like to go on adventures. I've swam in beautiful waterfalls where little fishes nibbled at my feet, hiked what felt like a mountain and I've seen elephants in the wild just living their lives.
Pulled to the Land of Smiles
I simply wrote down about ten countries Premier TEFL had to offer. I could not stop thinking about Thailand; something inside me kept pulling me towards the Land of Smiles. I am extremely happy with my decision and extremely happy with my life. I'm really enjoying the "mai bpen rai" lifestyle.
Tiny voices, big lessons
I currently teach kindergarten, they love to talk about everything and if they don't know a word, they try their best to get their point across. It's also a good way for me to teach them new vocabulary. The Thai teachers are always willing to help with any questions I've had about their culture.
Locations
After you settle in, you will spend the semester teaching in one of our stunning placements throughout Thailand. Locations are varied and include North, North East and Central Thailand.
Cultural excursions
Wondering what you're going to do with your precious free time? We're glad you asked! We know your adventure bucket list is long, but make sure you tack these recommendations from past TEFL interns in Thailand towards the top.
-
Thailand
Buzzing Bangkok is worth a deeper look. Forego Khao San chaos for a ride along the Khlong Saen Saep to the city's older neighborhoods.
-
Food
Hit up the 7/11 for foodie fun. Banana marshmallows, strawberry milkshake potato chips, fried chicken skin, milk in a can. It's fun. And definitely weird.
-
Activity
If you're teaching in the fall, you'll love Loy Kratong, the "Festival of Lights." Floating candles are sent down waterways to honor the river goddess.
How it works
Before you go, you’ll have an application form to fill out and documents to submit, a video chat and then you’ll be on your way.
