A TEFL job is a longer term teaching placement, with contracts of 6 – 12 months or more (typically in the Middle East).

The TEFL industry is contract based, and as such job adverts have fixed durations (with the chance to extend), it’s not common to see a permanent TEFL teacher position. This is part of the reason why so many jobs are available year-round as schools are continuously recruiting. Lucky you!

TEFL jobs are paid, with salaries dependent on the school and country you choose.
Many TEFL jobs include food, accommodation and sometimes flight expenses.

You need at least 120 hours of TEFL training to apply for a TEFL job. Don´t worry if you still need to gain your TEFL qualification, we have a selection of internationally recognised courses to choose from.
