What is plagiarism?

Plagiarism = the worst. If it’s not your idea or your original work, you need to give proper credit. If you don’t—well, that’s when plagiarism comes in. Plagiarism, or copying another’s intellectual property, is unacceptable. Whether done intentionally or accidentally when completing a Premier TEFL level 5 course, or any other level 5 course for that matter. If I retake an assessment, can I use the same written answer for a question that I know to be right?

Yes and no. Self-plagiarism—or copying your own work that you’ve previously submitted—is still treated and disciplined as plagiarism, regardless of it being your own work. How do you get around that? Just simply cite that you’ve submitted this idea/answer/work before. You still deserve that credit! Computer

How to quote a reference source?

If you are copying content word for word, the content needs to be surrounded by quotation marks [“ “] to indicate as such—along with a citation of the source. Be sure to quote the title of the text or link to the external work or website. If you’re copying an idea but summarizing in your own words, a simple source citation will do the trick (you can omit quotation marks).

How to correctly follow the command verb of a question?

There are a LOT of different ways that you can correctly follow the command verb of a question—and it ultimately depends on the format of the question itself. Most commonly, you’ll want to evaluate and explain the information that’s been provided. From here, you can respond with the answer or follow through with the instruction. Other strategies for following the command verb of a question include interpreting, demonstrating, analysing, comparing. And that’s just scratching the surface! Will I be marked and told about my mistakes before official marking from TQUK?

Yup—that’s where we (Premier TEFL) come in! All learners are assessed by a member of the Premier TEFL academic team. You’ll be told via email if you need to reassess some questions, and be sent a reassessment form. Once our assessment team is happy with your submission, we’ll pass it onto our internal quality assessor IQA for sign off. Then, and only then, will it be passed to TQUK for certificate issuing. Learners will be given a brief note about where they went wrong and tips to use in answering correctly.

What if I fail my reassessment?

First off—deep breaths. It happens! Taking the course through Premier TEFL means you’ll have multiple chances to pass your course—up to three to be exact! You’ll be given three separate chances for reassessments as well as your original assessment, making a total of four bites of the apple! This will give you the very best chance of passing your course with flying colors.

Do I have to pay for reassessments?

Yes - we ask individuals who need to be reassessed to pay for their second and third attempts. Don’t worry, you’ll receive your first reassessment (if needed) totally free of charge. Studying Bedroom

How much time do I have to complete my reassessment?

Typically, learners are given a deadline of two weeks to complete their reassessment. If you need more time, just contact your Premier TEFL advisor—not your assessor—to request additional time allotment. Keep in mind that your assessment work will not be reviewed by the assessor until the submission deadline has passed!

How will I receive my reassessment?

Reassessments are sent via email, so no need to log back into the online platform until you advised to. Your reassessment answers will be collected through an online form. Learners can complete this full reassessment as many times as they need, but the assessor (us!) will only review the final and most recent attempt of the reassessment (this should be the most accurate!). This will be clear through the timestamp of each submission.
