Teacher Training

Before starting your exciting new job teaching English to children in China, you’ll be required to hold a minimum of 120 hours of TEFL training.

Master the key techniques of teaching English through total language submersion as well as develop your skills and understand what’s expected of you as an English teacher.

How it works

Before you go, you’ll have an application form to fill out and documents to submit, a video chat and then you’ll be on your way.


You will provide high-energy learning experiences for your students.

  • Teach Chinese young learners aged 3 – 16 years old
  • Five-day working week
  • Mon-Fri 3pm to 9pm
  • Sat-Sun 9am-5pm
  • 20 – 27 hours of face-to-face teaching
  • Improve students’ conversational English in an entertaining and engaging way
  • Completion bonus RMB¥3,000 – 8,000 (US$440-US$1,170/€390-€1,045/£340-£900)

What do you need to Organize?

International flights: You’ll need return flights (can be two one-way flights)
Budget: Spending money for your first month plus excursions etc.
Police check: You’ll need a clean criminal record
Visa cost: You’ll have support to obtain your visa. Ask our team before applying if your home country is eligible for the correct visa.
Health check: You’ll need to provide a health statement
Insurance: It’s really important to sort your travel and health before you go!
Vaccines: Consult your local doctor for advice
