Remote, exotic, developed, and not yet completely overrun by tourists, Romania may not be the first place that comes to mind when teaching abroad programs boast “cultural immersion and ample TEFL jobs.”
It has a whimsical, quirky, creative soul that emulates life and invites you—though sometimes cautiously—to be a part of it’s post-Communist evolution.
Romania is one of the most up-and-coming teaching destinations, and you’ll understand just why when you first arrive.
Capturing the essence of an adventurous life, TEFL in Romania demands a “thinking outside the box” mentality. And you’ve got it.

Your goal as an English camp teacher will be focused on conversational English practice, helping your eager students to feel confident as they develop their skills through games, drama, music and mine. You’ll be able to ask advice from camp leaders but don’t forget to bring your own creativity and ideas with you, this is your chance to shine.
If you play the guitar – bring it! Or any instrument. The children love to sing songs around the camp fire.

After your internship
Congratulations, you did it! Make sure to celebrate this achievement. It’s time to decide if you’d like to see more of Europe, traveling or teaching (or both).
