On this virtual TEFL classroom course, you will learn how to deliver interesting and useful lessons to English learners of all ages and levels with a peer-to-peer teaching practice module. 10 hour Virtual TEFL Course
Day 1: Introduction to Teaching Methods
You will cover the first 8 modules of learning during this 3.5 hour session.
Modules One-Four: Your Classroom and Students
Understanding your students language abilities and why they want to learn English. Get to know the basic principles behind TEFL teaching, starting with ice-breakers and grammar. As you are going to be an English teacher, it’s vital to know how to manage your classroom and learners. By the end of this section, you’ll know exactly why your skills are in high demand.
Modules Five-Seven: The Presentation, Practice & Production (PPP) Approach
Now that you know vocab and grammatical terms, in this section you’ll learn how to master the challenge of teaching it. Breaking down your student’s English levels, you’ll know what target language to teach and how to teach. Now it is time to build an effective lesson AND get ready to deliver it to your peers on Day 2.
You’ll get so much useful information about how to prepare engaging building block lessons which work for all kinds of English learners, following the PPP approach. Watching your students progress will be so exciting!
Modules Eight: Foreign Language Lesson
By the end of this module, you’ll know exactly how it feels to be an ESL student. Our instructors will deliver a foreign language lesson to show you just how learning through complete language submersion works. You’ll be amazed by how effective these techniques are, and how many new words you will learn in the short demonstration.
Homework Task
You will have two homework tasks to work on between classes.
Task One: Lesson Preparation
Building on everything that you learned earlier today, you will prepare your 5 minute lesson with your team-teaching partner. On Day 2, you will deliver your lessons in pairs to the rest of your group.
Task Two: Grammar Exercise
You will complete a short grammar exercise that will be marked in your next Teacher Studio session.
Day 2: Putting Theory into Practice
You will cover the final modules of learning during this 3.5 hour session.
Modules Nine-Eleven: Teaching the Four Skills
The ‘four skills’ are listening, speaking, reading and writing. They are categorized into productive (writing and speaking) and receptive (reading and listening) skills. You’ll learn plenty of useful ideas and activities about how to get your students up on their feet and chatting to you about hobbies, politics or story telling. You’ll also get help with how to teach your students to read and write English – at all levels, from favorite foods, to the economy in Spain. You’ll be able to distinguish between accuracy and fluency, and evaluate their importance in ESL learning.
Modules Twelve: Teaching Practice
Now it’s your turn to be in the hot seat. Take your confidence to the next level by delivering your 5 minute lesson plan. In pairs, you will present your lesson to your fellow classmates and receive real-time feedback from your instructor.

Is a TEFL webinar course interactive?
Yes! A live TEFL webinar is very interactive. There is a maximum of 14 students on the course and you’ll take part in practical activities and tasks during each module of tuition. You’ll work in pairs in breakout rooms and prepare and deliver your own TEFL lesson.
Do I need to have completed another TEFL course previously?
No, you don’t need to have completed a TEFL course previously to join the 10 Hour Virtual TEFL Course webinar.
However, if you have completed any prior TEFL training before joining this live webinar course you will benefit from having a solid foundation in ESL theory already and be quicker to confidently put that into practice.
What equipment or materials do I need to join?
To attend a live TEFL webinar course you will need a laptop or tablet with a webcam, headset with mic and reliable fast internet connection to connect to Zoom. You’ll be joining the webinar with video and audio, it is important that there’s a good quality connection for you and your classmates to get the best experience during the training.

Do I need to have my webcam on?
Yes, you will need to keep your webcam and audio on for the duration of the course. Think of it like this, it’s good to get used to seeing yourself and others on screen. It’s great practice in preparation for teaching English online which is a huge opportunity for any TEFL teacher currently.
Do I need to do anything before the course to prepare?
Before joining the live TEFL webinar your pre-course task is to become familiar with the Zoom platform (be sure to register using your full name) and ensure that you can access the platform with ease. This will make for a smooth start to your first day’s training.

Do I need to attend both sessions?
Yes, to successfully pass the TEFL webinar course you are required to attend both sessions in full. If you miss a session, you will be able to book a place on a new course for another available date.
What happens if I lose internet connection during class?
If you lose internet connection during your class and cannot rejoin within 30 minutes, you will need to book another course for a future date.
Will there be any breaks in the webinar sessions?
Yes, your tutor will schedule refreshment breaks so that you can take a stroll, get a snack and step away from the laptop for 5 – 10 minutes.
